then revealed within regular intervals of time with chances of betting with each
revelation. The player with the highest and the lowest points win and the prize shared among them.
History of bingo?
Started as a lottery game in unified Italy it soon captured the imagination of
French intelligentsia. In the 1800s the popularity of lottery games spread throughout Europe. With the intention of popularizing education among the children variations of the game were created to aid children in learning their multiplication tables, spelling and even history. It was only in 1929 that bingo arrived in the United States, at which time it was still called "Beano." there is a very interesting incident on how the game made its way to the American continent. There was a traveling toy salesman called edwe who came across this game in a carnival tent. he saw that the game attracted huge amount of cards so when he went back home in America. he created his own Beano game by procuring some beans, cardboard and a rubber number stamp. He invited friends to his apartment to play the game. There he saw the same excitement that he saw at the carnival. During the game, one player had
accidentally yelled out "Bingo" and the name stuck.
Edwe along with a priest called lowe redeveloped the game . They also worked to diversify the game, so that by 1930 there were over 6000 different bingo cards and the game of bingo began to catch on in popularity. By 1934, an estimated 10,000 bingo games were played weekly around the world. While some bingo players still use cardboard cards and markers to cover the called numbers, many land-based bingo halls now use paper sheets where bingo players use ink daubers to mark the called bingo numbers. Still other land-based bingo halls have video bingo machines that automatically post the called bingo numbers.

How to play bingo?
The players bye cards with numbers in them in a 5*5 matrix corresponding to the five letters in the word bingo, The numbers are assigned at random on each card and are arranged in five columns of five numbers each by five rows Numbers such as B-2 or 0-68 are then drawn at random (out of a possible 75 in American Bingo, and 90 in British and Australian Bingo) until one player completes a 'Bingo' pattern, such as a line with five numbers in a vertical, horizontal or diagonal row on one of their cards and wins the prize. There are many possible patterns to play for.
The numbers in the B column are between 1 and 15, in the I column between 16 and 30, in the N column (containing four numbers and the free space) between 31 and 45, in the G column between 46 and 60, and in the O column between 61 and 75. Players have thousands of unique (unduplicated) cards to choose from. Some manufacturers print unduplicated series of 6,000 cards. There are also series of 9,000 cards available. Hard cards and Flimsy cards have a series number printed on them. For example, card number 1252 will always have the same numbers in the same spaces U.K. (and Australian) bingo cards have three lines and nine columns (see picture above) and usually come in "Books"; single or multiple. A single book would contain ten 10 pages (10 cards) each of a different colour : Gold, Lime, Violet, Yellow, Pink, Grey, Orange, Blue, Red and White

What is buzzword bingo?
It is quite similar to bingo and housie. The only difference is that instead of the matrix of numbers it has a matrix of words on there cards. Whenever a player hears a word which is in his card he strikes out that word. If a player has all his words on the first row striked off he has to declare himself the winner by calling out bingo loudly.
