Crap

Crap is a newer and a far more simpler version of an old English card game called Hazard which is widely played in the American casino circles. The game basically revolves around players who money against the casino on the outcome of one roll, or of a series of rolls of two dice. It is completely a game of chance and even the dumbest among us can play this game and win As casinos restrict players' options in blackjack, craps is increasing in popularity, as it offers the best odds of all standard casino games based on pure chance although dice is a very ancient game craps in its early form of "Hazard" came only a few hundred years ago.. There is historical evidence that it was played by the soldiers in twelfth century during the Third Crusade, led by the three most powerful kings of Western Europe: Frederick Barbarossa of The Holy Roman Empire, Philip Augustus of France and Richard .with time rules and odds changed. and new variations of the game popped up which were simpler and faster than original Hazard. One variation – Table Off game – became especially popular with gambling establishments at the end of 19th century. At that time casino tables and a simple layout, featuring the 6 and 8, the Field, the Win and the Come bets, were introduced. However, the players could bet only with the dice against the HouseFinally, John H. Winn revolutionized the game and made it possible for the craps players to bet right and wrong. He improved a layout accordingly and drew a space for Don’t Pass bets

The game starts with the rolling of the dice. The person who shoots the dice is called the shooter and each player takes turn to be the shooter. All the players bet on the same roll, regardless of who is rolling the dice. The first roll of each new round is called the "come-out roll." All bets are based on the total of both dice together, or on the specific combination of the roll

There are basically two types of bets
Passlinebets: Here the player wins On a come-out roll, when either a 7 or 11 is rolled. A 2, 3, or 12 loses, and is called "craps". When any other number (4, 5, 6, 8, 9, or 10) is rolled it's called the point. Once a point has been set, the pass-line bettor wins if the point is rolled again, and loses if a 7 is rolled first ("seven-out"). After a seven-out the dice pass to the next shooter for a new come-out roll.as for example let us say most casinos allow pass line bettors to take odds by placing from one to five times (and at some casinos, up to 100 times) the pass line bet behind the line. This additional bet wins if the point is rolled again before a 7 is rolled (the point is made) and pays at the true odds, 2-to-1 if 4 or 10 is the point, 3-to-2 if 5 or 9 is the point, and 6-to-5 if 6 or 8 is the point..people who bet on the passline are called right bettors

Dontpassbets: Here player wins on a come-out roll of 2 or 3, loses on 7 or 11, ties on 12, and goes to the point round when any other number is rolled. (In some casinos the 2 is barred and in such cases the 2 will tie but the 12 will win). In the point round the don't pass bet wins if a 7 is rolled and loses if the point is rolled. People who bet on the don't pass are called wrong bettors

The Horn here the player bets on 1 unit each for 2, 3, 11 and 12 at the same time for the next roll. It is actually a combination of four separate bets, and pays off depending on which number is actually rolled, minus three units for the other three losing bets. players normally prefer a "Horn High" bet which involves betting an additional $1 on one of the 4 choices, with the most frequent being a $5 "horn high yo" bet (which means $2 on the 11, $1 each on 2, 3 & 12).

A hop it is a bet on any combination of the dice on the next roll. For example, a player on the hop plays for 8 and wins only if two fours appear on the dice on the next roll only. "Easy" combinations may also be bet, such as a 3-5 or 4-6, .

C & E is actually two bets. A player is betting one unit on craps and another unit on 11. One of the two bets will always lose, and the other will pay off as above.
Any Seven is a bet that the shooter will roll a seven on the next roll.
A whirl or world bet is a five-unit bet that is a combination of a horn and any-seven bet.
A game of crap also involve four persons other than the player themselves who acts as officials .they are
Boxman he guards the chips, supervises the dealers and handles coloring out players; .
Basedealers he stands to either side of the boxman and collect and pay bets
Stickman this person stands directly across the table from the boxman and announces the results of each roll and then collects the dice with an elongated wooden stick. He is also in charge of managing the bets made on the center of the table (hardways, yo, horn, etc
